Frequently asked questions

Answers about how AI Inspector Lab works, what its findings mean and how your content is handled.

How accurate is AI detection?

No detector is definitive. Published evaluations show meaningful false-positive rates, especially for short texts and non-native writers. AI Inspector Lab presents estimates with reliability levels and evidence so they can be weighed - never as proof.

What happens when no detection model is configured?

The report says the AI-likelihood is unavailable. We never generate placeholder or random scores in production. Provenance, metadata and heuristic findings are still reported.

Which detection models do you use?

Detection is provider-based. Each workspace can connect an external detection API or a self-hosted model per content type through our documented adapter contract.

What are C2PA Content Credentials?

An open standard that lets cameras and creative tools embed a signed record of how a file was created and edited - including whether generative AI was used.

Is my content kept private?

Inspections are private to your account. Uploaded files are deleted after seven days, and deleting an inspection removes its stored content and report.

Is there an API?

Yes - a versioned REST API with API-key authentication, rate limiting, usage tracking and an OpenAPI specification.
